Probably USE="static-libs" gone awkward. Try without. emerge --info is missing.

That works, but it's a workaround only.

I had the same problem as Sebastian and the suggested workaround worked for me. I've attached my emerge --info.

This is marked as resolved fixed, but what exactly is resolved or fixed? I'm getting the same issue right now.

OK, I wish I could delete the previous comment. The sync hadn't picked up -r1.
