Comment 1 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-25 14:29:57 UTC
It -does- properly depend on libtool.
Comment 2 cyberbat 2012-01-25 15:20:38 UTC
I've forgot to say that If I emerge libtool manualy before pixman it's emerged ok.

It doesn't seem to. I'm installing gnome on a fresh i686 stage3 this morning, and hit the same issue. Neither automake nor libtool is pulled in as a dep of pixman:

# emerge -pv pixman

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild N ] x11-libs/pixman-0.24.0 USE="(-altivec) (-iwmmxt) -mmx (-neon) -sse2 -static-libs" 0 kB

Total: 1 package (1 new), Size of downloads: 0 kB

 * IMPORTANT: 2 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
 * Use eselect news to read news items.

# emerge -pv libtool

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

[ebuild N ] sys-devel/automake-1.11.1 0 kB
[ebuild N ] sys-devel/libtool-2.4-r1 USE="-test -vanilla" 0 kB
