New version is out.

One more question, can we have "static" (or something like that) USE Flag to compile against embedded v8 ?

why the embedded v8? that only sounds like an extra pain point to work around inferior tools that are not portage ...

Official Nodejs is always compiled against some specific v8 version, like 0.6.8 is packaged with 3.6.6.19.
But you right, it looks strange in scope of portage...

Also bug: Numeric key hash collision fix for V8 (Erik Corry, Fedor Indutny) probably fixed not in nodejs code, but in the v8 code. I am not sure here, have to take time to check (have currently not much time for that).
So probably the bug still exist in 0.6.8 node version on gentoo.
