Description Matthew Marlowe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-05 11:00:48 UTC
Get net-libs/wt 3.2.0 ebuild in tree, ensure that all dependencies are explicit and that any issues with boost compatibility are resolved.
Comment 1 Jack 2012-01-05 17:50:33 UTC
Ouch. On amd64, emerge gets all the way to the end of the qmerge, and fails with

!!! dodoc: AUTHORS does not exist

Not clear to me if AUTHORS is missing from the tarball or needs to be removed from the ebuild.

I currently have 3.1.7 installed with USE flags (doc extjs fcgi pdf resources server sqlite ssl zlib -graphicsmagick -postgres -test) and "net-libs/wt fcgi doc resources" in /etc/portage/package.use.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

The modified ebuild I attached to bug 378617 a few weeks ago already
includes a fix for the missing AUTHOR file.

Jean: thanks for posting your ebuild, if I may ask, where did you see boost 1.46+ as a requirement for 3.20....The only documented requirement I've found is 1.36 as a minimum and 1.41 recommended?
Comment 4 Matthew Marlowe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-09 00:58:21 UTC
Commited r1 which does not try to install the missing authors file in the 3.2.0 release.
Comment 5 Jack 2012-01-11 19:28:28 UTC
Thanks. -r1 emerges fine for me on amd64. I can't get it to run - but that's not really a wt problem, I'm trying to use wtdbomysql, and it is clearly not updated for 3.2.0.

Since I haven't heard of any issues with the masked package released several weeks ago, I am unmasking it into the testing tree for ~amd64 and ~x86. Please open up specific bugs for any issues while it is in testing so that we can resolve and eventually get a solid ebuild into stable.
