After installing the themes i switched the window theme (mutter) using g-t-t and ambiance/radiance don't work. The gtk theme work ok the problem is only on the window theme Reproducible: Always
Sorry, I don't use Gnome 3 and I cannot test it easily. Maybe the Gnome team has a clue.
You need to restart gnome-shell after switching the mutter theme (Alt-F2 → r).

Looks like mutter thinks that the Ambiance window theme is invalid: > Window manager warning: Failed to load theme "Ambiance": Line 417 character 82: Element <shadow> is not allowed below <frame_style>
Added a patch to mutter for compatibility with Ubuntu's apparently non-standard theme syntax. >*mutter-3.2.1-r1 (01 Jan 2012) > > 01 Jan 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> > +mutter-3.2.1-r1.ebuild, +files/mutter-3.2.1-ignore-shadow-and-padding.patch: > Add Ubuntu patch to enable support for Ubuntu's metacity themes such as > x11-themes/light-themes (bug #396673, thanks to Luis Medinas for reporting).
