He has during the course of this year joined the arch testing team in amd64 and pursued xen in arriving at fixes for many of the long standing xen bugs. The arch testing in its typical style has assisted in his effirts culminating in becoming nominated as the proxy maintainer of xen packages within the xen herd, seeing many and all af his patched commited to the tree. In pursuing some stray xen bugs that overlapped with python, he has now expanded his efforts as a contributor in the python field of bugs. He is subsequently groomed to become a member of the xen herd and as a helper within the python team.
What is the status here? Are the {ebuild,end}-quiz ready?
Well =D quizes on recruiting.gentoo.org looks good. Do we need other ones? Or what is current procedure for recruiting?
(In reply to comment #2) > Well =D quizes on recruiting.gentoo.org looks good. Do we need other ones? Or > what is current procedure for recruiting? I took a look at the webapp and it currently says: "Progress Answered 56 of 62 questions." Can you please take a look at what's missing and we can then proceed to the next step. Sorry about the long silence here.
They are now completed.
Now all questions answered. What will be next in new recruitment procedure?
A recruiter has to pick him up
Hi, I'll be Ian's mentor since he was left without one. I'll reopen this bug when I feel that he's ready, which is not the case yet. Thanks for the understanding.
Thanks for picking this up!
Ian's quizes are now in a good state, reviewed by me. I'd like to reopen this bug and put him again in the queue. During that time he has also been helping a lot with python packages, providing patches to the python team, plus co-maintaining some python/django packages with me. @Dirkjan as the python team leader please approve Ian's addition to the team. Thanks
Yes, please! Ian has come a long way over the past months.
