Description Vivek Shah 2011-11-06 08:34:58 UTC
A crash occurs if I sync my IMAP accounts using offlineimap. Strangely enough it only crashes for those accounts which use type = IMAP and GMail account syncs fine. It was working perfectly well earlier.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run offlineimap -a <an imap account>

Actual Results:
It crashes with a stacktrace

bonii@Bigbang ~ $ offlineimap -a Kompiler

Comment 2 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-11-07 10:51:56 UTC
Hi, thanks for your report.

This bug was fixed upstream, but the patch is not in the current stable version yet. (see here: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.mail.imap.offlineimap.general/3879 )

upgrading to the ~arch version (6.3.4) should help you. I'll aim to stabilize that one.
Comment 3 Vivek Shah 2011-11-07 11:08:06 UTC
Hi,
6.3.4 does indeed fix the problem as does using python2.6 with 6.3.2.2. It would be nice if 6.3.4 is stabilized so that others do not reopen a similar bug.
Comment 4 Nuno Silva 2011-11-07 20:53:31 UTC
Just wanted to say that

1. I can reproduce this here, after the upgrade to the latest stable, I get a crash

2. Upgrading to latest unstable (6.3.4) fixes it here too.

So far, 6.3.4 shows no issues. But it has been in use just for a couple days, and I don't use offlineimap *that* often.
Comment 5 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-11-07 21:11:56 UTC
I use 6.3.4 every day. Time to go stable.
Arches, please test and mark stable.
alpha/ia64 dropped out, so we'll go for: amd64 ppc x86
