Attempting to emerge dev-lang/ifc fails at pre-merge checks with an error:
check-reqs_prepare: check-reqs eclass called but not actually used!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge dev-lang/ifc
Actual Results:  
 * Set some check-reqs eclass variables if you want to use it.
 * If you are user and see this message file a bug against the package.
 * ERROR: dev-lang/ifc-11.1.072 failed (pretend phase):
 *   check-reqs_prepare: check-reqs eclass called but not actualy used!
 *

For some reason this issue seems not to be fixed correctly. I encountered the problem again with the same version. For me i dirty hacked the ebuild with just removing the check-reqs statement from inherit.
