subversion 1.7 completely changed structure of internal directories/files.
lyx won't work with that, so we need to change dependency and disallow >=1.7 in lyx-1.6.10 and lyx-2.0.1 ebuilds.

i'm afraid thats not going to happen soon, its not just some fix.
the new svn structures are completely redesigned.

Only saw this today, but upstream actually provided a patch several months ago:

Got rid of the dep limit, applied the patch --> results in peaceful coexistence of LyX v2.0.3 and Subversion v1.7.2.

As this has been fixed in upstreams master 2 months ago and there still hasn't been a new release, I took the liberty to backport the fix to the 2.0.3 release.

Attached is a patch for ${FILESDIR} and a patch for the ebuild. Feel free to apply if you see it fit.

Unlikely. 
1) The patch touches critical parts of the code (_any_ file opening).
2) Testing under various svn binaries/repo version is missing.
