Configuration script "wscript" contains the line:

  conf.check (lib='Xss', libpath='/usr/X11R6/lib', mandatory=False)

which seems to link the binary with libXss (x11-libs/libXScrnSaver) when one is installed. This seems strange: if libXScrnSaver is required (which it apparently is not), then it should be listed in RDEPEND, and if it's not, then perhaps wscript needs to be patched in order to prevent unnecessary linkage.
