Please stabilize =www-servers/lighttpd-1.4.29-r2

-r1 is in tree since 04/07/2011. -r2 contains an triival fix for the init script and an experimental patch which only applies when "uploadprogress" useflag is enabled. So -r2 should be good to go

Thanks

amd64 : emerges fine, I've been using r1 version for some time on my home-server (mixed tree, stable kernel) without any problems.
Comment 2 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2011-09-20 13:04:05 UTC
Repoman says that a patch is too big:
 file.size (21 KiB) www-servers/lighttpd/files/lighttpd-1.4.29-mod_uploadprogress.patch

Please provide also to remove ".la" files.
Both are not blockers issue and can be applied (imho) in a future bump ;)

Tested in lan, amd64 ok

About 1 month ago someone in the lighttpd-forum released a patch for compiling lighttpd 1.4.29 against openssl openssl 1.0.0d or newer.

Without the patch i was unable to compile lighttpd.

Please open a separate bug. This is about the lighttpd stabilization.

Please block/revert stabilization for now. Cannot build www-servers/lighttpd-1.4.29-r2 on stable tree with dev-libs/openssl[bindist], regression in .29, fixed in .30: http://redmine.lighttpd.net/boards/2/topics/4335

Adding a temporary workaround like:

ssl? ( dev-libs/ssl[-bindist] ) can go?
Comment 12 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-09-26 17:08:01 UTC
No need for that. I have already asked for someone to file a separate bug but I was ignored. In any case the patch is now in -r2 ebuild so you should have no problem to build it.
Comment 13 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-09-27 10:35:14 UTC
Please do -r3 which fixes a bug with the init script
