There are ebuilds in portage for up to net-fs/openafs-1.6.0_pre7.  Upstream has since released openafs-1.6.0.  This should be added to portage.  In addition, using openafs-1.6.0 is necessary for kernel-3.x, and possibly for kernel-2.6.39.  o very likely this should be set as ~arch and not hard-masked.

Thanks.  I'll start getting this tomorrow, after tonight's cron rsync on my portage mirrors.
