Description barrie backhurst 2011-08-25 10:35:50 UTC
When installing calligra-2.3.74 I removed koffice-libs as per the block, however the install still failed due to file collisions with koffice apps. Unemerging the apps allowed Calligra to emerge normally.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Have koffice apps installed
2.emerge calligra-2.3.74
3.
Actual Results:
emerge fails with file collisions

Expected Results:
emerge blocks the colliding apps

Let me guess, you used "emerge -C koffice-libs"
Comment 5 barrie backhurst 2011-08-26 08:28:19 UTC
After the initial block message yes, should I have done differently?
Comment 6 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-08-26 19:55:47 UTC
Well, all koffice apps depend on koffice-libs, so the only way to get to this situation is force-uninstalling koffice-libs. Which would be pulled back in at the next emerge. Calligra is already blocking koffice-libs...

Anyway, added explicit blockers for all koffice applications to avoid future surprises.
