Please file separate bugs for packages failing to compile against boost-1.46.1 and make those bugs block this one.
Bug #362939 is not a blocker. It concerns a package that has no stable keywords. The stabilization can proceed since there are no open bugs in the tracker

works very well for me. I skipped tests, and I merging all rdeps excluded bfilter ( a depend fails to configure ) Amd64 ok.

amd64: all ok
Archtested on x86: Everything fine

Arches, please do =dev-libs/boost-1.46.1-r1 instead. I already marked it stable for amd64/x86 and removed the old target. This fixes bug #379439
arm stable
alpha/ia64/s390/sh/sparc stable
Stable for HPPA.
Seems use-flag "icu" make boost-1.46.1-r1 is dependent on dev-libs/icu-4.8.1-r1 which is unstable. The icu use-flag is needed by LibreOffice. This is found on a x86 system and I did synchronize portage just now.
