Hi, i using only sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources (now 2.6.38-r2), but after portage sync, emerge install also sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.0 emerge --update --deep --newuse world -p These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild N ] sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.0 USE="-build -deblob -symlink" [ebuild U ] virtual/linux-sources-3 [2.6] USE="-xrc%" Reproducible: Always
This is because there is no tuxonice patchset for kernel-3 yet... maybe would be better to not use virtual/kernel-3 and use virtual/kernel-2.6 with ">=" deps as kernel-3 is supposed to not be a big jump from 2.6 series

There is nothing stopping you from masking >=virtual/linux-sources-3. I don't really agree with this resolution, but whatever.
