I am having a problem here (amd64).

# emerge -Du world

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

[blocks B      ] games-util/nforenum ("games-util/nforenum" is blocking games-util/grfcodec-5.1.1)

Conflict: 1 block (1 unsatisfied)

 * Error: The above package list contains packages which cannot be

  (games-util/nforenum-0_pre2309::gentoo, installed) pulled in by
    games-util/nforenum required by (games-misc/opengfx-0.2.4::gentoo, installed)

  (games-util/grfcodec-5.1.1::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by
    games-util/grfcodec required by (games-misc/opengfx-0.2.4::gentoo, installed)

For more information about Blocked Packages, please refer to the following
section of the Gentoo Linux x86 Handbook (architecture is irrelevant):

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?full=1#blocked

Sure enough, from /usr/portage/games-misc/opengfx/opengfx-0.2.4.ebuild:

DEPEND="games-util/nforenum
        games-util/grfcodec"

But from /usr/portage/games-util/grfcodec/grfcodec-5.1.1.ebuild:

DEPEND="!games-util/nforenum
        dev-lang/perl
        dev-libs/boost
        media-libs/libpng"

Brilliant!
Comment 6 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2011-07-19 19:49:42 UTC

This bug depends on bug 375681. See bug 365961 for details.
Comment 8 ta2002 2011-07-19 21:58:13 UTC
If I may ask a stupid (but obvious) question, why is this getting stablilized without games-misc/opengfx-0.3.3, when bug 375681 supposed blocks that from happening?

Because the opener decided to file this STABLEREQ without first checking bug 365961 (which would have made obvious this block) and the arch testers didn't have openttd installed? I filed the STABLEREQ bug 375681 and added the block only some 12 hours ago when I noticed this, but by then x86 and amd64 stabilisation already took place.
