firefox-5.0 lacks media-libs/mesa for webm flag.  Here's essential part of build output:

checking for GL/glx.h... no
configure: error: Can't find header GL/glx.h for WebGL (install mesa-common-dev (Ubuntu), mesa-libGL-devel (Fedora), or Mesa-devel (openSUSE))
*** Fix above errors and then restart with               "make -f client.mk build"

Reproducible: Always

Mesa isn't needed for webm, it's needed for webgl. I've added the dependency, thanks for reporting!
