Description Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2011-06-24 10:27:50 UTC
Arches, please stabilize x11-wm/awesome-3.4.9-r1

Target keywords: amd64 ppc ppc64 x86 ~x86-fbsd
Comment 1 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2011-06-24 13:11:42 UTC
amd64 ok
Comment 2 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-24 22:28:56 UTC
amd64:

emerged it ok, yet to bring it up, is emerging enough for arch?
Comment 3 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-25 01:55:01 UTC
curious, as if there aren't enough other packages to explore.
logged into it. Nothing worked, but nothing was configured.
Comment 4 Randall Wald 2011-06-27 06:52:58 UTC
Has this changed been synced to the tree? I tried doing eix-sync a few times, but I'm still seeing awesome-3.4.9-r1 as ~amd64.
Comment 5 Ihar Hrachyshka 2011-06-27 21:26:34 UTC
johneed@, you can try to create some terminals with Win+Enter and switch tags with Win+[1..9]. I think this will be enough to check that package works for amd64.
Comment 6 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-28 07:47:46 UTC
eeeeh, have you done something to the ebuild in the last few days?

Had unmerged. Tried re-emerging and it stops at step 1 after configure. Can't re-emerge it.
Comment 7 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-28 11:58:47 UTC
hmm, it works, does those things.

Strangely logging back into kde, it runs awesome concurrently and removes the movability of opened applications. Have to enmerge it to get back to pure kde.
I thought no two WMS could run concurrently!!!
Comment 8 Ewoud Kohl van Wijngaarden 2011-06-28 12:46:00 UTC
I've been using 3.4.9-r1 for a week now as regular user on AMD64 without issues. Given that xorg 1.10 and awesome 3.4.7 are both stable and require different versions of xcb I think this should be solved.
Comment 9 Brent Baude (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-28 20:36:37 UTC
ppc done
Comment 10 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-06-30 09:20:47 UTC
amd64 done. Thanks Agostino and Ian
