The CLI of pidgin, called finch, is currently unable to connect to the ICQ network. The error message is "Invalid DevId". 

The problem was reported upstream: http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/14294

I attached the patch itself and the patched ebuild for 2.7.11.

Thank you for report Mario. Fixed in 2.8.0-r1.
