Please mark dev-ruby/libxml-2.0.5 stable. This version has fixes for long-standing issues in currently stable 1.1.3, and also uses the new ruby-ng framework.

Ian, you don't do proper testing. Please add "test" on your FEATURES in make.conf. See bug #370501

Removing arches until the test issues are resolved. This may require stabling a newer version.

If you can confirm that the fixes work then that is probably the best solution. libxml-1.x.x is broken in any case, so I'd rather say some kind of libxml-2.x version stable.

That looks fixed, thanks.  But there is another failure with USE='doc' on ree18, sorry:  bug 379171.
