On the first installation of nfs-utils, /var/lib/nfs probably doesn't exist, but pkg_postinst tries to put files there, resulting in: * Copying default etab from /usr/lib/nfs to /var/lib/nfs cp: cannot create regular file '//var/lib/nfs/': Is a directory * Copying default rmtab from /usr/lib/nfs to /var/lib/nfs cp: cannot create regular file '//var/lib/nfs/': Is a directory * Copying default sm from /usr/lib/nfs to /var/lib/nfs * Copying default sm.bak from /usr/lib/nfs to /var/lib/nfs * Copying default state from /usr/lib/nfs to /var/lib/nfs * Copying default xtab from /usr/lib/nfs to /var/lib/nfs The third cp creates the directory, because sm is a directory, so only sm.bak, state, and xtab actually get copied over.
