Doom3 runs great, but game window just freezes after confirming exiting the game
Extracting driver package manually and copying libatiadlxx.so to /usr/lib32 fixed the problem. 
Guess x11-drivers/ati-drivers ebuild should be a little modified to resolve this problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Get AMD video card
2.Use fglrx driver
3.Run doom3, doom3-demo and possibly any other IDTech4 game and then quit the game
Actual Results:  
Game window just freeze and doom3 process can't be killed

Expected Results:  
It should quit normally

At least my system is affected(Radeon HD 6650M video card). fglrx drivers works great with this card, but there's still "AMD unsupported hardware" watermark
Still I don't think that's 6650M related issue

I can confirm this on a "ATI Technologies Inc RV770 [Radeon HD 4850]" graphics card. Same problem and the same fix. 

Actually, I bugged me for quite some time, I just didn't find the time to investigate and file a bug report.
