Description Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-04-26 09:50:02 UTC
Doesn't work with stable openssl (bug 348654), Doesn't work with stable gcc (bug 330165).

Either remove your stable keywords, or stabilize 1.2.8, the current stable needs to go
Comment 1 Dane Smith (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-04-26 14:26:43 UTC
All,
Chema and I have 2.0.3 in the tree as of now. 1.2.8 has it's own issues. It is certainly better than the current stable, however, it fails to respect CLFAGS and LDFLAGS and uses some off the wall perl build system which I have no desire to waste my time beating into working merely to replace it with 2.0.3 in 30 days anyway.

Do we think this is worthy to rush stabilize?

Also changed to reflect the new maintainers.

i'm fine with that too, up to the arch's really what they want to do... not have stable at all, or rush 2.0.3 stable. it's unfortunate the package was abandoned and it has come to this.

@amd64 and x86: If you don't mind rush stabling this one, I think it's the best option. It's a cleaner more QA compliant build and it will save everyone time in 30 days.

Thanks all.

The example configuration file includes a <bind> tag using ssl=gnutls. Did you compile the package with the gnutls use flag?. You'll need to load the m_ssl_gnutls.so module in inspircd/modules.conf as well.

If the problem persists. Can you post your log file? Thanks.
