The net-fs/openafs-kernel-1.6.0_pre3 doesn't build with sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-2.6.37.6 until I add --disable-linux-syscall-probing in the src_configure(). Btw. there is already pre4 available (http://www.openafs.org/release/openafs-1.6.0pre4.html)

May I add that there is now a pre5 available.

I also just found that the in-portage pre3 won't build against gentoo-sources-2.6.39.  I went looking at openafs.org and found that pre5 is there.  Searching its changelog I see comments dated around March 27, about adapting to changes in the 2.6.39 kernel, notable compensating for things that have been removed.  The pre3 release predates that, but both pre4 and pre5 are after, so should have it.

openafs-1.6.0_pre6 is in the tree nowr

I just checked the net-fs/openafs-kernel-1.6.0_pre6 and it still fails to configure without the --disable-linux-syscall-probing on the kernel 2.6.38.7.

pre6 (as well as 1.4.14) configures and compiles fine for me with vanilla 2.6.37.6. Please post the kernel .config file.

You are missing CONFIG_KEYS. Should be set to yes.

I will add it to the ebuild as a requirement.
