if vzevent compiled "in kernel" ( not module), /etc/init.d/vzeventd don't start.
I commented  check_config() and module load code  call in start() -  this solves the problem.

Fixed in vzctl-3.0.26.2-r1.

The actual reason of the bug was check for VIRTUOZZO=yes without sourcing /etc/conf.d/vz script
