The adobe flash plugin can be installed in the debugger flavour version. http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/10/flashplayer_10_plugin_debug.tar.gz Is it possible to install this version by adding a debug USE flag to the ebuild?
Potentially, and it has been done in the past (flash player 8 or 9 I think) but it's a lot easier if the upstream tarball actually contains the full version number: Since we are not legally allowed to mirror Adobe's software, we can't change the name and mirror it locally, and a generic version like "10" in the name means that whenever adobe does a minor version bump, suddenly all our digests fail == bad. If you can find a debug version that has the full version number in the filename, even if it's inside an .rpm or whatever, I would be willing to try to incorporate that into the main ebuild.
(In reply to comment #1) > we can't change the name and mirror it locally Couldn't you use a SRC_URI arrow?
I've added debugger version into my overlay (layman -a rion) I was not sure about name of USE flag, so its "debugger" for now.
=www-plugins/adobe-flash-11.2.202.291-r1 has USE=debug added. Please test. And thanks for the suggestion(s)!
