amd64 ok
Comment 3 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-05-24 11:58:20 UTC
amd64

On emerging, flunked the test phase.

test 2003...OK (597 out of 598, remaining: 00:00)
TESTDONE: 488 tests out of 491 reported OK: 99%
TESTFAIL: These test cases failed: 20 507 534

not a regression, already filed, bug 335370. 3 out of 598 not too bad.

Unset test, emerged ok with some different use flags set.

This ebuild should be fixed. This version really needs c-ares >= 1.6.0, but in requirements there is >= 1.4.0. Failed code:

configure:34856: checking that c-ares is good and recent enough
configure:34883: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -o conftest -march=native -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -momit-leaf-frame-pointer -mpreferred-stack-boundary=4 -maccumulate-outgoing-args -mieee-fp -ftree-vectorize -Wno-system-headers -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--enable-new-dtags -Wl,--sort-common -Wl,--as-needed -s conftest.c -lcares -lssl -lcrypto -lldap -lrt -lssl -lcrypto -ldl -lz -lz >&5
/var/tmp/portage/net-misc/curl-7.21.4/temp/cciYU6bp.o: In function `main':
conftest.c:(.text+0x79): undefined reference to `ares_dup'

From manual of ares_dup:

AVAILABILITY

       ares_dup(3) was added in c-ares 1.6.0

Comment 12 Alex Buell 2011-06-03 23:27:08 UTC
Tested on SPARC, failed only two tests (TESTFAIL: These test cases failed: 507 534), if that's Ok to stabilise then do so :)
