Packages that are using USE=sound for media-libs/libcanberra should rename the flag to "libcanberra" so that sound can become a global flag. See discussion in gentoo-dev. gnome: gnome-extra/gnome-games net-irc, gnome: net-irc/xchat-gnome pva, net-p2p: net-p2p/transmission xfce: xfce-base/xfce4-settings
transmission done. thanks.
ah yeah, sorry I forgot about it before. + 12 Feb 2011; Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> + xfce4-settings-4.6.5.ebuild, xfce4-settings-4.8.0.ebuild, + xfce4-settings-4.8.1.ebuild, metadata.xml: + Rename USE="sound" to USE="libcanberra" wrt #354585 by Ulrich Müller.
Looking at configure looks like passing --disable-sound will simply drop sound support for gnome-games, then, I disagree with renaming that USE flag to "libcanberra"
made our packages comply to our policy. I think everyone is done here now, closing.
