Description Daniel Hornung 2011-02-08 08:57:46 UTC
eix fails to build in a freshly built Gentoo/OS X prefix environment, configure runs smoothly though.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge eix

Actual Results:
Fails to build while trying to compile output/print-xml.o

Expected Results:
Should configure, compile and install.

The compilation output is:

This is probably a re-occurrence of bug 255711.

Change const_reverse_iterator to reverse_iterator

The problem is some sort of STL implementation bug
(the compiler is not able to cast reverse_iterator to const_reverse_iterator
while the cast iterator -> const_iterator works smoothly...)

Does the attach bug fix the problem?
If other similar compilation bugs appear, please report them also here.

Yes, this fixes the problem, thanks for the patch!
Comment 5 Martin Väth 2011-02-09 19:06:31 UTC
The patch is now in eix' svn trunk (>=eix-0.22.8).
