Description hal 2011-01-02 13:24:12 UTC
according to ./configure --help xbmc supports media-libs/libbluray.

-> --enable-libbluray      enable libbluray support

could we enable bluray support by including USE="bluray" to pull in libbluray for xbmc?

media-libs/libbluray[aacs] would make sense then.

downside at this point: libbluray is only available as a 9999 ebuild. maybe limit bluray support for xbmc-9999 until we see a stable release in the tree?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -av xbmc

Actual Results:
1. USE="bluray" is not available

Expected Results:
1. USE="bluray" should be available

There is a snapshot and a date-versioned ebuild available in the multimedia overlay. http://gitorious.org/gentoo-multimedia

If that could be brought into the main tree, then it could be added.

ive added it to the 9999 ebuild. i wont do it to 10.0 until a libbluray version is in unstable. which i'm not going to spend time on.

agreed. that's fine, thank you.
but could you please add [aacs] to media-libs/libbluray to force libbluray to get build with aacs support? makes more sense at all.

if it isnt a hard requirement, then no
