cyrus imapd version 2.40 was released in October, maybe now at version 2.4.6 can be considered stable enough to be in portage. Latest version available in portage is 2.3.16. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 259916 [details] Updated 2.4.6 ebuild proposal Here is an update ebuild proposal. Changes : - homepage and source URL - remove xversion stuff, it does not exists anymore - remove --enable-listext that has been remove at compile time (deprecated feature) db-5.0 / libwrap / strip patches are always needed.
I forgot to say that 2.4.* release is a quite important release to have and to switch to : it has a reworked user_deny.db handling that solves lots of IO/high load issues
If possible, add support/use flags for mysql, postgresql and sqlite too.
Created attachment 264653 [details] proposal of ebuild #2 Based on proposal #1, little rewritten, repoman is almost happy (metadata.xml is missing). Needed patches: cyrus-imapd-2.4.6+db-5.0.patch cyrus-imapd-strip.patch cyrus-imapd-2.2-libwrap.patch cyrus-imapd-2.4.6-fix-db-rpath.patch
Created attachment 264659 [details, diff] 2.4.6-fix-db-rpath which applies cleanly

It would be greate if ebuild wouldnt emerge mysql with it self by default. Or is there any reason why cyrus-imapd need mysql to work by default ?
Turn off the mysql USE flag if you do not want mysql support. cyrus-imapd-2.4.8 is unmasked btw.
Closing. cyrus-imapd-2.4.8 is in the tree.
cyrus imapd won't deliver to subfolders anymore, only INBOX: upstream bug: http://bugzilla.cyrusimap.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3163
