checking for PCRECPP... no
configure: error: Could not find a required library. Please see the README for your platform.

after emerging dev-libs/pcre++ xbmc continues after that.

nvm, installing pcre++ doesn't make it continue, i'll try finding out what does.

xbmc needs libpcre to have the cxx flag set, i'm guessing that in turn pulls int he pcre++ package.
