dev-tex/latex-beamer-3.07 in combination with dev-texlive/texlive-xetex-2010-r1 
complains about an

\Gm@lmargin ->\Geom@lmargin

The problem is that geometry 5.0 has removed the  options: 'compat2' and this breaks some code in beamerbasecompatibility.sty. This is fixed in the latest ctan version (2010-07-12) so an update is needed.

thanks for the report, added a blocker on beamer-3.07, please update to 3.10 with texlive 2010
