Hi guys,

looks like you managed to avoid stabling monit-5, which leaves us with old monit-4 on amd64 stable.
Please stabilize 5.1.1 (or any newer version if you want)

patrick:

 * QA Notice: Package has poor programming practices which may compile
 * fine but exhibit random runtime failures.
 * socket.c:356: warning: dereferencing pointer ‘sock.35’ does break strict-aliasing rules

Is a problem?
Comment 2 Richard Freeman gentoo-dev 2010-12-15 15:13:19 UTC
Just a quick ping on this one - should the QA issue flagged by portage hold this up, or is this a false alarm?

No sense having this in the amd64 bug queue if it is not ready for action, or alternatively, no sense holding this up if it is...
Comment 3 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-12-22 01:43:00 UTC
This error is "safe". It should not hold the stabilization

amd64 done. Thanks Agostino
