as said on [1] and [2], xbmc is moving to git (on github), repository url is git://github.com/xbmc/xbmc.git the repository is read only for now but it's enough for xbmc-9999.ebuild to begin to use it. except the final git repo still is ready as the post you quoted clearly states: Look for an update here when the transition is done and the the final repo is ready for use! re-open when things are actually available to transition

has anybody else tested the ebuild from http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350755 ? does it work flawlessly and could we use this ebuild as a draft for the tree?
