Description Michael Jones 2002-01-26 13:29:42 UTC
KDevelop installed properly but will not run. When attempting to launch
KDevelop from the console, nothing returns excent KCrash's report. Not even
the splash screen is displayed before crash.

Well, I haven't had any other reports of anything like this and it's hard to
understand what's going on based on the limited info we have here. So:

Enable debug (export DEBUG="true", or set it in make.conf) and recompile
kdevelop for more debug output/tracing.

Post results here. For example, kcrash's trace.

Also conside submitting a bug report at bugs.kde.org.

Finally, do you have the latest versions/revisions of kdelibs, kdebase and
kdevelop emerged?

There having been no reply, I'm closing the bug for lack of public interest.
Reopen if still relevant.
