Should we restrict it?  Remove vala support from libproxy and midori versions?  package.use.mask them temporarily?

reopening per duplicate issue.
Since there is no ebuild in tree depending on >=0.9:0, I suggest stabilizing 0.8.1:0 which succeeds its testsuite.

Really?  I ran into this because midori-0.2.9 still depends on vala (Bug #344667)
Am I overlooking something?

app-i18n/ibus-1.3.9 depends on vala.

It doesn't depend on any slot, see bug #338067.

I'm sorry. ibus provides generated ibus-1.0.vapi in source tarball. It is only for vala binding, no need for compiling and runtime.
I removed dev-lang/vala from ibus-*.ebuild.
