Current stable xdebug in portage does not support php 5.3. As 5.3 is in stable now, we should get a compatible xdebug-version stabilized.

PHP-Team, are you okay with that? (both packages have no open bugs and are in the tree long enough)

Sure. Go ahead. The version you want is xdebug-2.1.0. xdebug-2.1.0-r1 is not ready yet.
