Installing media-sound/pulseaudio-0.9.21.2-r2 also brings in gnome-extra/gnome-audio-2.22.2. gnome-extra/gnome-audio is a set of sounds that can be played on events such as system startup, shutdown, login, etc. Note that gnome-audio is almost as big as pulseaudio itself. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. List the dependancies of media-sound/pulseaudio 2. grep for gnome-extra/gnome-audio 3. Actual Results: media-sound/pulseaudio depends on gnome-extra/gnome-audio Expected Results: media-sound/pulseaudio shouldn't require gnome-extra/gnome-audio without the gnome, X and dbus USE flags. Made USE-depend on X in 0.9.22 since, from what I could tell, the sounds are only required for x11-bell and events.
