Description Ole Markus With (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-07 17:03:14 UTC
Has been in the three since July 12th without any bugs. The current stable version has an associated security bug: bug #327973
Comment 1 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-09 16:16:01 UTC
I assume you mean version 1.4.8? This fixes also a USE flag check with PHP 5.3
Comment 2 Ole Markus With (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-09 16:18:20 UTC
1.4.8 was commited yesterday, so I meant now 1.4.6, now I mean 1.4.8 :)

Try to do stabilisations on the security bug as it is easier to spot in the bug list arch teams usually work on.

I'm hitting a problem on my stable x86 system that prevents me from installing symfony (PEAR-Console_Getopt seems to be one of the dependencies). Please let me know if you'd prefer a separate bug report about that.

 * CPV:  dev-php/PEAR-Console_Getopt-1.2.3
 * REPO: gentoo
 * USE:  elibc_glibc kernel_linux test userland_GNU x86
 *
 * Using dev-lang/php-5.3.3-r1
 *
 * Checking for required PHP feature(s) ...
 * require_php_with_use MUST NOT check for the pcre, spl or reflection USE flag.
 * These USE flags are removed from >=dev-lang/php-5.3 and your ebuild will break
 * if you check the USE flags against PHP 5.3 ebuilds.
 * Please use USE dependencies from EAPI 2 instead
 * ERROR: dev-php/PEAR-Console_Getopt-1.2.3 failed:
 * dev-lang/php-5.3.3-r1 does not actually support the pcre USE flag!

Can you please stabilise symfony using a stable version of PHP (i.e 5.2.14)? The error you ran into is a part of bug 336869, and will be gone as soon as dev-php/PEAR-Console_Getopt-1.2.3-r1 gets stabilised.
