dev-ruby/json-1.5.3 also fails with ruby-1.9.2-r2, but it only fails with USE=doc.

Doesn't look like anyone gives a shit though. :\

fixed ebuild

The problem occur because the target of /usr/bin/testrb symlink changes respond to system ruby version.

Actually, testrb command do little job. To avoid confusing and bug about ruby version, I think that running multiple test from ebuild is better, though ebuild will be a bit more complex.

This fix also can be applied to the newest version of json, as I tested.

Any response?

I hope that someone review my ebuild and commit if there is no problem.

We are short on manpower, especially for ruby 1.9 work.

Could you please attach a diff instead of a full ebuild? That makes it a lot easier to review, and it also ensures that it contains only your changes. It would also be helpful to indicate which version you diff is against.

In previous similar situations I've used a full ruby solution. I have now applied this to the json-1.5.4 ebuild. Could you verify that this fixes things?
