Meanwhile, arches I want your permission to touch your p.mask so we can unmask it for amd64/x86
Comment 2 Markus Duft (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-09-06 11:05:06 UTC
as far as prefix is concerned - go ahead and move the mask :) (as already said on IRC).
Comment 3 sulfinu 2010-09-08 09:47:44 UTC
KDE 4.5.1 is still masked for everybody. I'm dying to install it on x86...
Do you have an ETA? Thanks.

sulfinu, you don't have to wait for this, simply copy http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=proj/kde.git;a=blob;f=Documentation/package.unmask/kde-4.5 to your /etc/portage/package.unmask and play!
Comment 5 Theo Chatzimichos (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2010-09-09 11:04:32 UTC
I got permission from cla on IRC to touch p.mask for amd64/x86, so KDE 4.5.1 is now unmasked for those archs

No, it isn't:

It is. Sorry for the rudeness.
Comment 8 David Kredba 2010-09-12 07:45:17 UTC
Seems to be masked again:

# Theo Chatzimichos <tampakrap@gentoo.org> (11 Sept 2010)
# Mask KDE 4.5.1 bug 336158
Comment 9 Timothy Miller 2010-09-12 13:43:55 UTC
Yeah. KDE 4.5.1 was unmasked yesterday and now it's masked. What happened?
Comment 10 Theo Chatzimichos (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2010-09-12 13:51:22 UTC
It's unmasked again for amd64/x86
Comment 11 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-09-14 18:11:41 UTC

What happened there?
Comment 14 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-09-15 23:19:31 UTC
It's a bug in portage (kind of): https://bugs.gentoo.org/337180

Our profiles apparently multi-inherit base, so we get this warning when the maskings are applied repeatedly.
Comment 15 Jonathan Callen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-09-19 06:30:43 UTC
~x86-linux/~amd64-linux done, unmasked
Comment 16 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2010-10-03 14:05:26 UTC
~arm keywords restored for kde-base/kdebase-runtime-meta-4.5.1. I guess we are ready to unmask it globally.

The deps should all be marked for ppc now, removed the mask.
Comment 21 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-01-29 11:39:07 UTC
Seems like everything is done here. Off to new shores...
