Meanwhile, arches I want your permission to touch your p.mask so we can unmask it for amd64/x86
as far as prefix is concerned - go ahead and move the mask :) (as already said on IRC).
KDE 4.5.1 is still masked for everybody. I'm dying to install it on x86... Do you have an ETA? Thanks.

Thanks. sulfinu, you don't have to wait for this, simply copy http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=proj/kde.git;a=blob;f=Documentation/package.unmask/kde-4.5 to your /etc/portage/package.unmask and play!
I got permission from cla on IRC to touch p.mask for amd64/x86, so KDE 4.5.1 is now unmasked for those archs

(In reply to comment #6) > No, it isn't: It is. Sorry for the rudeness.
Seems to be masked again: # Theo Chatzimichos <tampakrap@gentoo.org> (11 Sept 2010) # Mask KDE 4.5.1 bug 336158
Yeah. KDE 4.5.1 was unmasked yesterday and now it's masked. What happened?
It's unmasked again for amd64/x86
Unmasked on ppc/ppc64.
Forgot to remove our CCs, sorry for the bug spam.
Created attachment 247364 [details] repoman full after the changes to gentoo-x86/profiles/arch/powerpc/package.mask (In reply to comment #11) > Unmasked on ppc/ppc64. What happened there?
It's a bug in portage (kind of): https://bugs.gentoo.org/337180 Our profiles apparently multi-inherit base, so we get this warning when the maskings are applied repeatedly.
~x86-linux/~amd64-linux done, unmasked
~arm keywords restored for kde-base/kdebase-runtime-meta-4.5.1. I guess we are ready to unmask it globally.
Created attachment 249684 [details] repoman full repoman full on kde-base
~arm keywords restored and unmasked. maybe we're going to keyword even more packages - but we will see...
Created attachment 256181 [details] repoman-full New repoman run
The deps should all be marked for ppc now, removed the mask.
Seems like everything is done here. Off to new shores...
