This seems to me like a missing dependency issue

/var/tmp/portage/media-sound/qmmp-0.4.1/work/qmmp-0.4.1/src/plugins/Visual/projectm/projectmwidget.h:23:21: error: QGLWidget: No such file or directory

Do you have qt-opengl installed?

No I don't. Indeed looks like a missing dep.

After installing qt-opengl it builds fine. Please note it seems to be required for the "projectm" USE flag.

Yeah exactly my thoughts since nothing else produces visual output. Dependency added. Please proceed
