Description:   Opened: 2003-11-12 19:37 0000
I'm running kernel-2.6.0-test9, and running a raid5 array. I was trying to
format /dev/md0 using mkfs.xfs, but when using xfsprogs-2.3.9 I get "MD array
/dev/md0 not in clean state". Searching on google leads me to only two results
both going to xfs's mailinglist back in April 2003. Apparently a person at SGI
looked into it and I believed it was fixed. To try out xfsprogs-2.6.0 from
ftp://oss.sgi.com, I simply copied the existing ebuild for 2.3.9 to
xfsprogs-2.6.0.ebuild and ran ebuild xfsprogs-2.6.0.ebuild digest. I was then
able to install 2.6.0 and mkfs.xfs didn't think my MD array was dirty anymore.
