Confirming same issue here on ~amd64.
Comment 3 Matteo Azzali 2010-08-13 08:05:57 UTC
Same here on ~amd64 but I don't think it's a xine issue:
happens the same with xine-lib-1.1.18.1 and with libXvMC,
so it really looks like a bad (or too new) header installed
or something similar.
Nvidia-drivers anyone? I'm using
x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-195.36.31
and
x11-proto/videoproto-2.3.1

> Nvidia-drivers anyone?

I have an ATI card.
Comment 5 Matteo Azzali 2010-08-14 10:15:10 UTC
ok at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-6384156.html#6384156
there's the fix for libXvMC, I'm gonna try it and check if it fixes xine-lib too.

fix for XvMC issues with xine-lib (1.1.18 too)

Compile here, needs testing
Comment 8 Thomas Capricelli 2010-08-14 16:17:57 UTC
confirmed on ~amd64 with ati card
Comment 9 Geoff Leach 2010-08-15 11:12:41 UTC
Works for me

videoproto-2.3.1

Changelog for videoproto at

http://www.spinics.net/lists/xorg/msg50425.html

includes following

Luc Verhaegen (1):
      vldXvMC.h: stop uselessly including XvMClib.h.

So does look like xxmc.h needs to unconditionally
#include <X11/extensions/XvMClib.h>

As XvMClib.h includes XvMC.h code could be reduced to

#include <X11/extensions/XvMClib.h>
#ifdef HAVE_VLDXVMC
  #include <X11/extensions/vldXvMC.h>
#endif
