I've rewritten the ebuild to not use depend.php.eclass which the folks over at #gentoo-php tell me will be going away.  This eclass is pretty much incompatible with EAPI="2" and doesn't have functions for packages which want to use depend on php.

The ebuild is in my overlay right now, I'm testing it.  I'll close this bug when I put it on the tree.

BTW, Diego, you have your job cut out for you since a good portion of the web-apps use depend.php.eclass.
