The current ghostscript release (7.05.6-r3) has an issue with dashed lines in the PCL-XL driver. This is preventing my HP LaserJet 1200 fromp rinting any documents that use this feature. (ex. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-fill/f1040esn.pdf) There is a fix in the AFPL 8.0 ghostscript release, but I would like to aply this fix to the current gentoo release. I have attached 2 files that fix this issue.
Created an attachment (id=20515) [edit] A patched ebuild
Created an attachment (id=20516) [edit] Alter the PCL driver to use an integer value for a Dash offset
There is a new ghostscript version 7.06 available, not yet in portage. Do you know if this is fixed in this version?
The new version is not 7.06 but 7.07.1
This is not fixed until Development release 7.20, and production release 8.0. The web cvs tree is here: http://cvs.ghostscript.com/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gs/src/gdevpx.c Version 1.9 is the one where this patch is applied. Unfortunately, this has not made it into the version 7.0 branch.
ok, added the patch to -r4 :D
