Seems like an --as-needed issue to me
(In reply to comment #3) > Seems like an --as-needed issue to me I faintly remember having run into this before....now is the time to fix this.
I can't reproduce it [ebuild U ] x11-base/xorg-server-1.7.7-r1 [1.7.6] USE="hal ipv6 nptl sdl tslib* xorg -debug -dmx -kdrive -minimal" 0 kB Can you please post your emerge -pv xorg-server? Maybe there is a useflag combination that triggers this
USE=tslib doesn't do anything unless USE=kdrive is also enabled. Cheers
-dmx -kdrive -xorg is also not so nice (ebuild fails), I think it would be better to have something selected as the "default" when the use flags are set like that.
(In reply to comment #7) > -dmx -kdrive -xorg is also not so nice (ebuild fails), I think it would be > better to have something selected as the "default" when the use flags are set > like that. The xorg-server ebuild has had this behavior for years (literally). While we could probably "fix" this issue, I definitely don't consider this a blocker for this stabilization list. Thanks

They are no regression so I will mark it stable, but you should fix it nonetheless.

I needed to disable kdrive to build this one, but it's a required USE for stable >=app-admin/sabayon-2.28.1 (part of gnome-base/gnome).
