#rename fldigi-3.20.18.ebuild to fldigi-3.20.21.ebuild

#fldigi-3.20.21 (and previous versions) expects x11-libs/fltk to be compiled with "xft" support. GUI fails to render properly without this.

Attaching ebuild....

Can you please give some more information about that problem. I am running it here on two machines with fltk[-xft] and tested it also with deinstalled libXft.

Please attach diffs the next time. That way it is much easier to see, what you changed.. Thanks.

fltk w/ xft

screen shot of media-radio/fldigi-3.20.21 when x11-libs/fltk-1.1.9-r1 is compiled with xft (x11-libs/libXft-2.1.14).

fltk no xft

screen shot of media-radio/fldigi-3.20.21 - x11-libs/fltk-1.1.9-r1 is NOT compiled with xft (the x11-libs/libXft-2.1.14 package was still installed).
Comment 5 nic 2010-07-27 00:03:32 UTC
Attached screen shots comparing x11-libs/fltk with and without xft support. The major annoyance is the drop down menu's aren't sized correctly...otherwise things are still legible.

Recompiled fltk several times (w/ and w/o xft) and so far this issues follows lack of support for xft.

note; I installed this on a new/fresh system so I don't know if another package on your systems is providing the missing font dependency/etc.

Thanks.

Ok. Thanks for that info. It seems related to the choosen font for the frequency display.

For fltk[-xft] start fldigi and afterwards look into .fldigi/fldigi_def.xml.
Which font is named under "Frequency Control font name -_>" and which font number is given (3 lines below)?

I think it is a missing font. So please let me know the font name for the frequency control (see above).

The problem seems to be a little bit more complex. fldigi works without problems here as long as I do not use the --font command line switch. If I do I observe similar problems as long as USE=xft is missing in fltk-1*. So I will add fltk[xft] as requested.
