Unfortunately I couldn't find any info about libkms flag on freedesktop.org and metadata.xml is silent about it too. When enabled, it apparently does install additional libkms.so and .la files.

As Intel users are struggling to get a stable X KMS experience for months now, I wanted to ask whether or not libkms is supposed to be enabled on kernels with KMS, to get this one cleared at least. Such info should then enter metadata.xml...

libkms is a way for applications to interface with kms. Presently, the only user of it is vmwgfx.
